9:00 AM – Hotel Pickup and Transfer to Stone Town Start your day with a comfortable hotel pickup and drive to Stone Town, the cultural heartbeat of Zanzibar. Meet your guide and begin your walking tour.
9:30 AM – Guided Walking Tour of Stone Town Explore historical sites like the House of Wonders, Sultan’s Palace Museum, Old Fort, and the Anglican Cathedral built on the site of the old slave market. Your guide will share stories of Zanzibar’s complex history.
12:30 PM – Boat Transfer to Prison Island (Changuu) Hop on a traditional dhow boat to Prison Island. Originally intended as a quarantine station, today it’s known for its giant tortoises and scenic beach views.
1:00 PM – Tortoise Sanctuary & Leisure Time Walk among the Aldabra giant tortoises, some over 100 years old! Afterward, relax on the beach or take a dip in the clear waters. Snorkeling gear is available upon request.
3:00 PM – Return to Stone Town and Free Time Sail back to Stone Town and enjoy a bit of free time to shop for souvenirs or explore side streets on your own.
5:00 PM – Forodhani Gardens Evening Visit As the sun sets, head to Forodhani Gardens. Sample Zanzibar pizzas, sugarcane juice, grilled seafood, and other local street food favorites.
6:30 PM – Return to Hotel After a flavorful experience, your driver will take you back to your hotel with memories of Zanzibar’s history, wildlife, and flavors.
