8:00 AM – Hotel Pickup and Transfer to Jozani Forest Start your day with a pickup from your hotel, heading straight to the beautiful Jozani Forest, a haven for Zanzibar’s rare red colobus monkeys.
9:00 AM – Explore Jozani Forest Reserve Enjoy a guided nature walk through the forest, learning about Zanzibar’s unique flora and fauna. Spot red colobus monkeys swinging through the trees and take a stroll along the mangrove boardwalk, soaking in the peaceful environment.
11:00 AM – Spice Farm Tour Next, head to a local spice farm where you’ll get to experience Zanzibar’s renowned spice culture. See, smell, and taste the spices that make this island famous. From vanilla to cloves and nutmeg, you’ll have the chance to learn about the island’s agricultural heritage.
12:30 PM – Lunch at the Spice Farm Enjoy a traditional Zanzibar lunch on the spice farm. Savor dishes made with fresh, local ingredients, including rice, vegetables, fish, and fruit.
2:00 PM – Depart for Prison Island After lunch, head to the shores of Stone Town for a boat ride to Prison Island. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful coastline and the tranquil waters of the Indian Ocean.
2:30 PM – Explore Prison Island and Meet the Giant Tortoises Visit the historical ruins on Prison Island, once used as a quarantine station and later as a prison. Meet the giant Aldabra tortoises, some of which are over 150 years old, and learn about their conservation efforts.
4:00 PM – Return to Stone Town After exploring Prison Island, return by boat to Stone Town, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
